Leire Merino

Leire Merino - Teacher for Ballet4life.com in London, UK Leire hails from Spain and after training in ballet in Escuela profesional de baile Almudena Lobon , Spain, she relocated to London in 2009. She trained at London Contemporary Dance School and had the opportunity to perform in works by choreographed Richard Alston and Siobhan Davies. She also danced for Quicksilver Dance Company, Rambert's youth company which Ballet4life sponsored a few years back at The Bedford Park Festival!

She is also a former member of the Aldanza Company. Leire joined Tavaziva Dance as part of the London Contemporary Dance School Postgraduate Apprenticeship Scheme. It was here that she taught dance workshops in schools in England and Scotland . In 2014 she completed an MA in teaching PE and DANCE with the Spanish University Isabel I de castilla . Her teaching work started in 2007 in Spain and since 2011, Leire has been teaching children and adults in different dance schools in Greater London .

Leire holds a current DBS check and has PLI.

We were pleased to welcome Leire to our staff starting January 2016. She covered our Beginner Contemporary Classes as well as our Beginner Follow-On Ballet Course during Clarissa's maternity leave. She is also taught our special Jazz & Contemporary Dance Class for 13-18 year olds in Chiswick as part of the dance project with Get Active Hounslow. She is now a regular cover teacher for Ballet4life and we are always happy to have her back in the studio.
